First convocation of GSFC University was held on December 14, 2019 at Fertilizernagar, Vadodara. In this convocation, degrees were awarded to 198 (22 Female Students and 176 Male students) from B.Tech- Mechanical & Chemical and B.Sc (Chemistry & Biotechnology).

Padma Bhusan Awardee, Shri N.Gopalaswami, IAS (Retd.) – Former Chief Election Commissioner of India presented Gold Medals to four students who secured first rank in each stream. President of GSFC University, Shri P K Taneja , IAS(Retd.) , former Additional Chief Secretary –GOG conferred the degrees to students.

The convocation was attended by Shri Arvind Agarwal, IAS, CMD-GSFC Ltd, Members of Governing Body & Board of Management of GSFC University, Government Officials, Top Management of GSFC Ltd. & GSFC University, Industrialists, students with their parents.

Director (Admin.) Shri Sandeep Purohit welcomed the dignitaries and Vice Chancellor Dr. Nikhil Zaveri presented the University Report.

President , GSFC University Shri P K Taneja, IAS(Retd.) ,Former Additional Chief Secretary , GoG expressed his gratitude that call of education is taken up as a CSR initiative by GSFC Ltd. In his speech, he informed the gathering about different courses and USP’s like Industrial Internship, Choice Base Credit System, 5C Concept, of GSFC University. He advised students that completion of graduation doesn’t mean that education is all over today. Rather, real life test starts now you need to pay attention to Hard Work, Taking up of challenges, bonafide intentions for all decisions in your life, continuous learning, Social Sensitivity etc.

Padma Bhusan Shri N. Gopalaswami , IAS(Retd.) , Former Chief Election Commissioner of India in his highly motivational speech , he advised students to adhere to Truth, to always follow the righteous path and to enlarge his knowledge through continuous self-education. Do not neglect the welfare of your family and those around you. He further added , be a person of Integrity , develop the habit to listen and think before you speak care for the body, constantly update your knowledge, inculcate the savings habit , constantly strive to excel and strive to reach higher by means that are fair and incorruptible, have family values and last but not the least, make it a habit to help others in need.
